What we teach and believe

We teach and believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Old and New Testaments pointing to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. (2 Tim 3:16-17)

We teach and believe that there is One God, eternally revealed to the world in the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. By Him were all things created. (1 John 5:7)

We teach and believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to redeem all of mankind. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on this earth, performed many undeniable miracles, was crucified for our sins, buried and was raised from the dead for our justification. By the name of Jesus Christ, and His name only, can mankind be saved. Jesus Christ sits at the Right Hand of the Father and will return personally in power and glory to receive His Church unto Himself. In addition, we believe divine healing is the provision of Christ through the exercise of faith and prayer.( Matthew 8:17, 18:18-19, 24:35, Mark 13:31, 16:15-18, Luke 21:33, John 3:16, 14:2,, Romans 5:8, 10:9, 10, 1 Corinthians 2:9, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Ephesians 2:8, 1 John 1:9, 1 Peter 2:24, James 5:14-16, I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 7:15-17, 20:10-15,)

We teach and believe that mankind is sinful by nature and will perish without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as revealed in His Gospel. That God wishes that no one should perish, but that all would come to this saving knowledge through the preaching of the Gospel to a lost and hopeless world. (John 3:16, Romans 5:12, Ephesians 2:8)

We teach and believe in the multi-faceted work of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction of sin, revelation of the truth of the Gospel of Christ, drawing of the sinner to God, adoption of mankind into the Body of Christ through regeneration, and the distribution and administration of the Gifts and demonstrating maturity by the Fruit of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life. Jesus Christ is the "baptizer with the Holy Spirit" for the empowerment of the Church through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. (John 3:5-7, Acts 1:8, 2:4, Romans 12:6-8, I Corinthians 12:1-11, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20, 5:22-23, Ephesians 4:11-13, Hebrews 6:1)

We believe in the local church as a place where believers gather together for edification, teaching from the Word of God, and ministry to and through each other according to their spiritual gift. The local church performs the Sacraments of the Church - Water Baptism and The Lord's Supper.  The local church provides identity to its members as well as encouragement, interdependence, fellowship, correction, and discipline.  It also promotes an atmosphere where believers can walk in the Spirit continually marked by a life of moderation and balance.  The local church is also one of the vehicles through which the Great Commission can be fulfilled.  As the early church demonstrated, the gathering of resources for support of ministry endeavors is a vital function of the local church.  (Psalm 150, Malachi 3:10, Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:1, John 4:24,  Acts 16:5, Romans 13, 1:Corinthians 11:28, 2 Corinthians 5:18-21, 9:7, Ephesians 4:30-32, Philippians 4:5, Hebrews 7:8, 10:25, James 5:20, 1 Peter 5:1-5)
